Applications and financial aid

We are continuing to accept applications for the 2018-19 school year. If you would like a change in your billing plan, please contact Smart Tuition or Mrs. Stessman so we can take care of that for you.  We have added a 12-month installment plan to help ease the burden of tuition increases.  If you plan to apply for the CEF scholarship for next year, and haven’t already applied through Smart Tuition Aid Analysis, please do that at your earliest convenience. This process is fairly detailed, so please let us know how we can help! The money is there for those in financial need, so please don’t hesitate to apply.  www.smartaidforparents.com  THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR AID FOR RETURNING STUDENTS IS JULY 1.

Golf tournament - April 27

6TH ANNUAL SMCS GOLF TOURNAMENT: Join us for an afternoon of golf and fun! The 6th Annual St. Matthew Catholic School Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, 1:00 p.m. The tournament will be played at GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness @ Shawnee Country Club. $65/player or $260/team. Includes cart rental & green fees for 18 holes, buffet dinner, and proximity prizes. A registration form may be downloaded at www.saintmatthews.org/school. Send payment & registration to: St. Matthew Catholic School, Attn: Jamie Rodriguez, 1000 SE 28th Street, Topeka, KS 66605. For more information, please call the School Office at 785.235.2188.

We also need parent volunteers, and if you need to “buy” some of your volunteer hours, we’re accepting gift cards to local vendors that are equal to one hour for every $10 in value.  For example: a $25 gift card would be worth 2.5 hours. We will use these for prizes at the golf tournament!

Celebrate your loved ones with books!

SMCS would like to invite you to celebrate your child or remember a loved one with a gift to the school library in the form of a new book in their honor or memory.  We currently have several books that have been donated in memory of loved ones and on the inside cover, those books are identified as a special gift in memory of someone and include the donor’s name.

The idea came to us to also celebrate birthdays this way as well.  If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday with a special book that can be shared by their friends in the library, we encourage you to select a book they would enjoy and send it to the school office for Mrs. Otting to prepare for circulation in the school library.  Please do not worry about duplicates because chances are if it is a new book we may not have it and if it is a classic, we likely could use a new copy!

On a separate sheet of paper, please write the name, dates, donor, etc. and include it with the book to assist us in accurately documenting the gift.  Feel free to write your own personal note inside the book cover if you would like.

Thank you for your consideration of this special book project.
