Grow in Faith
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “Parents are their child’s first and primary teacher, especially when it comes to teaching them about the Catholic faith”.
Our School of Religion program strives to support parents in their efforts to pass on the faith to their children. Our program not only educates students through formal catechesis and formation but encourages parents in their role as primary educators.

Volunteers are needed......
Who are Catechists?
Catechists are people from the parish who answer the call to minister to others. They are volunteers who desire to share their love for God and their Catholic Faith with children, youth, and adults.
No experience necessary! Catechist do not teach the Faith but rather echo the Catholic faith in a way that others can understand. They help others to strengthen their own relationship with Jesus Christ and the Church by communicating the beauty of faith and the beauty and joy of knowing Jesus. The primary goal of a catechist is to model God’s love to others. The only requirement of a Catechist is a love for God, their faith, and a love for others. We provide curriculum materials and resources, as well as support to aid the Catechist in the classroom.
Volunteers must be 16 years or older and Virtus trained or willing to attend Virtus training.
For more information, please contact the Religious Formation Coordinator.
