Those who spend time each week in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, by making a commitment to a particular hour each week or as a substitute.

Help create the visual art that is used at St. Matthew Catholic Church, following the guidelines prescribed by the Church. Members are needed to assist in all the various aspects, such as design skill for creating seasonal environments, sewing abilities (mainly hemming), installing and removing the liturgical environment for each Church season, especially during Christmas and Easter, and assist with the upkeep of the altar flowers/plants at special times of the year (watering the poinsettias and lilies, taking off dead flowers, removing pollen, etc.). Guidelines and training will be provided.

An opportunity for quiet reflection to listen to the inner voice of God in our lives. 

Proclaim the Word of God on Sundays and special feasts. Training is provided. Must be Confirmed.

CROSS BEARER

Open to anyone, grade 8 through adult, these ministers carry the cross and assist Father at Mass. Training is provided.

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION

Help distribute Holy Communion at Mass. Training is provided. Prerequisite - must be Confirmed.

Servers

Young men and women, grade 5 and older, who assist the celebrant at our liturgical celebrations. Training is provided.

Ushers

Seat the congregation, pass the collection baskets, direct people, hand out bulletins. Must be in high school or older. Training provided.

CANTOR

Lead the congregation in singing.

CHOIR

Choir sings at various liturgies throughout the year.

INSTRUMENTALIST

Musicians who help enhance our liturgies by sharing their talents (guitar, flute, brass, etc.)

ORGANIST/PIANIST

Accompany our cantors at our Sunday and Holy Day liturgies.

Make a commitment to pray specifically for the needs of our parish.

These parishioners gather on a weekly basis to pray the rosary together for designated intentions.

These parishioners lead the Rosary before our Sunday liturgies.
